This is unlikely, especially with Ben Affleck set to play the Caped Crusader on the big screen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and likely his own solo movie sometime between 2016 and 2020 as well. However, Smallville was on the air when Superman Returns was released and it’s been made clear that Warner Bros.’ TV and movie projects are being kept separate. So, while Gotham will shed some light on Bruce Wayne’s childhood, why not devote a series to a young Batman’s adventures? After all, Affleck is play a Batman who is in his 40’s, and there’s a lot of ground which a TV series could explore in the years he was operating before then, even if it wasn’t directly connected to the movies. Arrow and The Flash have shown that superheroes can be done well on the small screen, and there’s a lot of potential with this one!
