‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ filming heads to Chicago in November

Batman returns to Chicago this November! The city is mostly known to Batman fans as Gotham City in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins and especially The Dark Knight. Chicago was also used for Metropolis in Man of Steel, and that’s exactly what it’ll be filling in for in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as well.

The director of the Chicago Film Office, Rich Moskal, confirmed the news to FOX Chicago. Zack Snyder will be shooting in downtown Chicago for about four or five days, and then another week and a half in surrounding communities. I’d expect Snyder will also take advantage of his time in the state of Illinois to film at the Kent Farm set, which has been ready since early this year.
