George Clooney makes his Comic-Con debut, apologizes for ‘Batman & Robin’

George Clooney took a break from his honeymoon to surprise the New York Comic-Con audience on opening day earlier this afternoon. It was his first time attending a Comic-Con, he was there to promote Disney’s Tomorrowland. Clooney even got to meet Adam West backstage, who is there to promote the Batman: The Complete Television Series Blu-ray boxset. Once the crowd calmed down a bit from the big surprise, Clooney quickly made some Batman jokes and even apologized for Batman & Robin. All of it!

“I think since Batman that I’ve been disinvited from Comic-Con for 20 years. I see the comment sections on all you guys. I just met Adam West there [referring to behind the NYCC main stage] and I apologized to him. Sorry about the nipples on the suit. Freeze, Freeze, I apologize for that.”

New York Comic-Con kicked off today and will run through October 12th. Stay tuned to Batman News for any major announcements that may come out of the event over the next few days.
