As I’m sure you noticed, we’re working to bring you some new features here at Batman-News.com! I’m excited to see some of these changes come into play, but we’re looking for other ways to make the Comics section more fun and engaging. Jay kicked off our review of Retro Comics, and he and Brandon will continue that monthly (Jay just reviewed Hush to tie it into Eternal’s current storyline, and Brandon is going to cover Anarky before Detective Comics launches its arc with the character). We have some other ideas in the pipeline – including the return of Break From Batman, and potentially some interviews down the road – but wanted to reach out to you as well. What would you like to see from us on Batman News? Would you be interested in seeing top ten lists, character spotlights with recommended reading, recaps of our books to-date, character battles, or maybe more about us – your handy, dandy review team? Perhaps we could “cast our own films!” Whatever your thoughts, we’re open to the possibility! Just sound off in the comments section, and if it’s feasible, we’ll try to make it happen!
Now, for the reason you really checked out this post… this week’s releases are listed in order of what I’m most excited to read, to what I’m least excited to read. For each title, I’ll include the official solicitation, the talent credits, more of my randomness, and the Batman News team member that will be covering each book. And of course, I (we) want to hear from you! What titles are you picking up? What do you hope to see? And what are your thoughts about the order of my list? So, without further ado…
November 12th
Batman #36
“Endgame,” part 2 – it’s a story arc so steeped in mystery, all we can tell you is the title!
Art by: Danny Miki, Greg Capullo
Backup Written by: James T Tynion IV, Scott Snyder
Cover by: Greg Capullo
Variant cover by: Andy Kubert
Written by: Scott Snyder
Random Blurb of Excitement: I feel like this is going to be a fun ride! I loved the first issue of Endgame, and I look forward to

Batman Eternal #32
The Spoiler is on the case to find the truth behind the nightmare at Arkham!
Art by: Jason Fabok
Cover by: Rafael Albuquerque
Written by: Tim Seeley, Kyle Higgins, Ray Fawkes, James T Tynion IV, Scott Snyder
Random Blurb of Excitement: The Eternal team has been slacking off a little bit on their quality. The book is still far from bad, but I really want them to get their acts together and finish with as tight of a story that they started with.
Batman News Critic: Brandon
Batgirl #36
Batgirl’s new life is off to a rousing start when her first day of graduate school is interrupted – by twin sister assassins on motorcycles!
Art by: Babs Tarr
Cover by: Cameron Stewart
Variant cover by: Cliff Chiang
Written by: Brenden Fletcher, Cameron Stewart
Random Blurb of Excitement: I enjoyed the new creative team’s approach to Batgirl much more than I thought I would! Don’t get me wrong, there are a few elements that I’m not crazy about – mainly all of the hipsters, and the crazy need to make sure we get that this book is taking place in this generation with all of the tech and social media – but they didn’t bother me too much. Having twin sister assassins on motorcycles could potentially ruin everything though.

Earth 2 World’s End #6
Power Girl, Batman, Red Tornado and the new E2 Superman take on the Super Clones of Apokolips!
Art by: Jorge Jimenez, Jan Duursema-Mandrake, Stephen Segovia, Robson Rocha, Tyler Kirkham, Eddy Barrows
Cover by: Paulo Siqueira
Written by: Mike Johnson, Marguerite Bennett, Daniel H. Wilson
Random Blurb of Excitement: I’m just going to say it… I was expecting more from World’s End… Earth 2 is losing its edge when it should be getting edgier and more intense. There used to be a “weight” to Earth 2, and now if just feels like they’re trying to fill pages until they reach a certain point. It’s a shame, because had they continued the same quality, this book would have been epic!

New Suicide Squad #4
Outgunned and out of time, this could be the end for Harley, Deadshot and The Joker’s Daughter as they struggle to survive in Russia against Deathstroke!
Art by: Jeremy Roberts
Cover by: Jeremy Roberts
Written by: Sean Ryan
Random Blurb of Excitement: Each month, I wonder more and more why DC rebooted this book, because each month a new solicitation comes out that seems to be pushing this book further and further to the unsuccessful mess that it was. This issue could change everything. Could.
Batman News Critic: Josh
Futures End #28
It’s the battle you’ve been waiting for: Batman vs. Batman Beyond! But since Bruce taught Terry everything he knows about combat, who knows who will win?
Art by: Andrew T MacDonald
Cover by: Ryan Sook
Written by: Keith Giffen, Dan Jurgens, Jeff Lemire, Brian Azzarello
Random Blurb of Excitement: I said I was going to jump back into this book when Jesse gave it a 7 or higher. That didn’t happen last week, but it could very easily happen this week! The cover looks awesome!
Batman News Critic: Jesse
Worlds’ Finest #28
The secret history of Earth 2 continues! In this issue, jump back in time to a point when Superman and Batman were children! When a visitor from Apokolips attempts to confront the boys as part of a galactic prophesy, only one being can stand in their way: Wonder Woman!
Art by: Jed Dougherty
Cover by: Emanuela Lupacchino
Written by: Paul Levitz
Random Blurb of Excitement: Sean has been less than enthusiastic with the change in direction on this book, and because of that, I haven’t picked it up. I’m starting to think this title might be better off if it just went away.
