Last week, DC announced Convergence, a multiverse spanning event kicking off next April. Consisting of a nine issue miniseries and 40 two-part tie-ins, the event will preempt all of DC’s books for the months of April and May.
Today, they revealed even more details, including synopses for a few of the tie-in series.
From the DC website:
Last week we announced DC Comics’ massive 2 month publishing event CONVERGENCE which is taking place in April and May 2015.
Well, that was just the beginning. More details have been announced today.
During the 2 months of CONVERGENCE, fans will get to see moments they never thought they would, including what’s been happening with some of their favorite characters–Superman and Lois Lane, Wally West, Stephanie Brown Batgirl–Pre-Flashpoint.
Today, DC Comics has revealed some of those exciting moments with the announcement of the first 10 2-part CONVERGENCE miniseries along with creative teams and 10 incredible pieces of interior art.
Head over to io9 and COMIC BOOK RESOURCES for the full details and to check out the art.
Look for part 1 of these titles on April 8. And stay tuned there’s more to come!
Most relevant to our interests, there’s Harley Quinn fighting Captain Carrot, the return of Stephanie Brown as Batgirl, and Nightwing and Oracle evaluating their relationship. There’s also reference to a mysterious Dome, but what it is is an uncertainty at this point.
Creative teams were announced as well, and with the likes of Ron Marz, Greg Rucka, Tom Grummett, and Gail Simone, DC is really pulling out some heavy hitters.
Thanks to a few readers, a few more worlds have been identified in the photo map from last week, so here it is updated with what we have so far:

- Not sure. The wizard Shazam, maybe?

- Other than it being the Daily Planet, I have no idea which Earth it represents.

- The Marvel Family, acquired from Fawcett Comics.
- Freedom Fighters (Uncle Sam, the Human Bomb, Phantom Lady, Ray, and that looks like Plastic Man.
