The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Jeremy Irons, who will play Alfred in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and asked him to talk about his new role. Irons admitted that he doesn’t have a large part in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel, but did say that his Alfred is different than any other we’ve seen on screen before:
“He is quite a different Alfred than we have seen so far. Zack Snyder had very clear views about what he wanted. I would just say he’s more hands-on perhaps than just a butler.”
We saw Alfred get very “hands-on” on Gotham a few weeks ago, and it will definitely be interesting to see Irons in the role opposite of Ben Affleck when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25th, 2016.
Are you excited to see Irons’ Alfred get a bit more “hands-on”? Let me know in the comments below.
