Ben Affleck drops ‘Batman v Superman’ reference in his testimony to Congress (video)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… Ben Affleck is a real life Bruce Wayne! Earlier this year he won the People’s Choice Humanitarian Award for his work with Eastern Congo Initiative (ECI), which he founded in 2010. ECI is both a grant-making and advocacy based organization that partners with the Congolese people to increase the quality and quantity of investments in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

Yesterday, Affleck testified before Congress in Washington D.C. to discuss providing aid to the Congo, and he dropped a little Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice reference in the process.

“I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge my costar in Batman,” Affleck said, motioning to Senator Patrick Leahy. “The role is marginally smaller than mine, but I understand that you are quite good.”

Senator Leahy is a huge Batman fan and has had small roles in Batman & Robin, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises and now Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He was most memorable as the man that The Joker threatened at Harvey Dent’s fundraiser in The Dark Knight.

Check out Ben Affleck’s testimony in the video above. His Batman comments come at the 1:35 mark.
