Harley Quinn made a brief cameo on Arrow last year, but the big plans that Arrow producers had for the character came crashing down.
Unlike Marvel, Warner Bros. and DC prefer to keep their TV and movie properties separate. It’s very likely that the upcoming Suicide Squad movie was the reason for Harley Quinn’s TV appearance to be cut short. Having different versions of the character in two different mediums might be confusing to the general audience.
Arrow star Willa Holland broke the news this weekend at MCM Comic Con in London. Thanks to Comic Book Movie for the heads up!
“We had big plans for Harley. But, I guess something came down from DC execs that told us to shut it down. I mean we had that tease with the pigtails and the ARGUS outfit but, we’ll never see it. We would love to Harley in Arrow but it will never happen.”
