It looks like some big Comic-Con announcements are starting to leak a little early! Deadline reported that Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill would surprise the Comic-Con crowd this weekend with an autograph session, but now they have even bigger news.
According to Deadline, Ben Affleck will co-write a standalone Batman movie (rumored to be titled The Batman) with Geoff Johns, the Chief Creative Officer at DC Comics. Deadline confirms the rumors that Ben Affleck will star in and direct The Batman.
Deadline also reports that Affleck and Johns are already pretty far along in their script, and it’s likely that they’ll turn it into Warner Bros. by the end of the summer.
