‘Batman v Superman’ and ‘Suicide Squad’ cast photo makes up the new DC Extended Universe

At Comic-Con last weekend, The Hollywood Reporter got the cast of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad together for a photo shoot. Together the group of actors (and directors) represent the new DC Extended Universe, Warner Bros.’ response to Marvel’s highly successful “Cinematic Universe”.

This was the first time the two casts were together in the same room, with many actors meeting each other for the first time. Jai Courtney mightily shook hands with Jesse Eisenberg while Henry Cavill chatted with Will Smith, who introduced him to Jay Hernandez. Cara Delevingne and Gal Gadot posed for a selfie together, The Hollywood Reporter says.

The Hollywood Reporter had a chance to talk to Suicide Squad director David Ayer about the surprisingly dark footage he showed off. “The real shock is how hilarious it’s going to be,” Ayer replied.
