It’s no secret that Robin will be a part of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In the latest trailer, you can clearly see Robin’s costume hanging in the Batcave, with a message from The Joker graffitied all over it. In the comics, The Joker kills Robin, and with Batman being older in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it looks like this event has already taken place. Some spoilers follow…
According to Heroic Hollywood, there will be a flashback scene in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that shows Jared Leto’s Joker killing Robin. And who will be playing Robin? Zack Snyder’s son Eli! Batman News heard the same thing recently, but I was unable to confirm it. This Heroic Hollywood report gives me a lot of confidence that it’s true.
Eli Snyder was the starting QB on his high school’s football team, and at 6’0″ and 173lbs, he definitely has the build of a superhero. He’s appeared in some of his dad’s other movies including 300, Watchmen, and Sucker Punch. If this report is true, and I believe it is, Eli is in for his biggest role yet!
