Suicide Squad director David Ayer is an old fashioned filmmaker who prefers using practical effects over CGI. It’s the reason he said he was willing to film so much of the movie out on the streets of Toronto, even if it meant fans would get an early look at what he was creating.
The latest set photo from Ayer shows the perfect blend between combining practical effects with CGI. In the photo, we see a military chopper combined with a green screen, which computer graphics will fill in during post-production.
