Suicide Squad will follow Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year, and even includes a cameo from the Dark Knight himself. But will Superman be appearing as well? Unfortunately not. Henry Cavill gave Metro.co.uk a firm “no” when asked if he’d be in Suicide Squad, though he remained hopeful that Superman could appear in the sequel.
Cavill also spoke with Cosmopolitan recently about strong women and who Superman would prefer between Lois Lane and Wonder Woman. Here are the highlights:
Power Women
“Strong women are nothing new for the comic book world. I’m glad they are being represented a bit more in film and on TV. Wonder Woman has been around forever, she is an incredibly strong character. She can go toe-to-toe with Superman sometimes.”
Lois Lane or Wonder Woman for Superman?
“This is a very long discussion because there are a lot of questions to be asked and answered. I mean who is better for a super-powered alien, a human or a goddess? Yes, the goddess can do all the normal things, which we would think are normal in a relationship, and not have any fear of Superman. But you also need to have that baseline of humanity, which Lois provides. And literally keeps his feet on the ground, keeps him down to earth. So that’s more of a debate than an answer.”
