Five more retailer-specific variant covers have been revealed by DC Comics, with some true heavy-hitters submitting some pretty striking images.
Ranging from homages of famous scenes from the original Dark Knight Returns series to fairly simple, but no less striking, original images (I absolutely love that Klaus Janson cover), fans can get an idea about the different variants that will be available for the highly anticipated finale to Frank Miller’s Dark Knight saga.
An Andy Kubert piece also debuted a few days ago, with a DK3 themed image serving as the cover for the NYCC program booklet.
Honestly, that reminds me more of David Mazzucchelli’s work on Batman: Year One than it does The Dark Knight Returns, and that’s not a bad thing.
