Batman dominates IMDb’s 25 year top rated movies list

The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. It’s hard to imagine what the internet would be like without IMBb. I use it all the time here on Batman News, and I’m sure you all do as well whenever there’s casting news with an actor you aren’t familiar with.

To celebrate its 25th year, IMBb has shared a list with Vanity Fair detailing the top user-rated movies over the last 25 years. The top rated movie of 2005? Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins. The top rated movie of 2008? The Dark Knight. Django Unchained is listed as the top movie for 2012, but it actually has the same 8.5 rating as The Dark Knight Rises. Perhaps IMDb didn’t want Batman to dominate their list as much as he already had. One thing you won’t find on this list? Marvel.
