New ‘Suicide Squad’ trailer rated and coming soon?

Fans are still geeking out over the brand new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer that was released last night, but there’s another DCEU movie coming out in 2016 as well. The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) just rated and approved a new Suicide Squad trailer that runs for 2 minutes and 59 seconds!

That’s a few seconds shy of the Comic-Con “first look” that we got last summer. Suicide Squad (and DCEU) producer Charles Roven went on record of saying there won’t be a new Suicide Squad trailer this year, but it looks like plans have changed. With this trailer rated by the BBFC, it’s likely coming very soon. Maybe in a few weeks with Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Update: The BBFC says “The version of this work detailed above is rated by the BBFC under the Video Recordings Act 1984 for use on any Packaged Media format (including DVD, Blu-ray and VHS),” so it likely won’t be playing at theaters, but will be attached to Blu-ray releases. Still, it’s a bit shorter than the Comic-Con trailer, so maybe it’ll feature some new footage?

Stay tuned to Batman News for more on the Suicide Squad trailer, but for now, check out the new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!
