Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman finally has its Hippolyta! After talks with Nicole Kidman didn’t work out, Warner Bros. has cast Connie Nielsen in the role.
Nielsen, a Danish actress, is best known for playing a Roman queen in Gladiator. She’ll now take on Hippolyta, the queen of the Amazons and mother of Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman is currently shooting in the UK and Italy. It’s being directed by Patty Jenkins and is scheduled to be released on June 23, 2017.
