Variety has teamed up with ListenFirst Digital Audience Ratings to measure social media trends across platforms like Facebook, Google+, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, Wikipedia and YouTube. According to their most recent report, Warner Bros. has the most anticipated superhero movies of 2016 with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad.
Among the slew of comic book films set for release in 2016, including new “Captain America” and “X-Men” adaptations, early social and digital tracking places “Suicide Squad” and “Batman v Superman” 500% stronger than competitors based on standing at the same point pre-release. “Batman v Superman” is currently the #1 film by volume, followed by “Suicide Squad” and “Deadpool.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, and Suicide Squad opens this summer on August 5. Based on this social media data, it sounds like Warner Bros. is going to have a big 2016.
