Advanced Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice tickets have been on sale for a couple of weeks now, and the results are in! According to Deadline’s sources, Zack Snyder’s latest movie has sold more advanced tickets than this year’s Deadpool, 2012’s The Avengers, and last year’s Furious 7. All went on to make bank at the box office.
Another source at Deadline estimates that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has sold $20-25 million in pre-sale tickets so far. That puts it right on par with Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, which set a record in 2012 for advanced ticket sales that held up until last year, when Star Wars: The Force Awakens crushed it.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters next week on March 25th! Some lucky fans will be able to see it on March 21st at special IMAX screenings.
