It doesn’t sound like legendary music composer Hans Zimmer will be back for Justice League. “I have officially retired from the superhero business,” he said in a new interview with BBC HARDtalk.
“This one was very hard for me to do, to try to find new language,” Zimmer explained, speaking about his work on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. “I did Batman Begins with Chris [Nolan] 12 years ago, so The Dark Knight Trilogy might be three movies to you, to me it was 11 years of my life.”
Leading up to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Zimmer said he was taking a break to tour and do live music. But now it sounds like he’s made the decision to walk away from superhero movies for good. Let’s hope something happens to get Zimmer out of retirement for one last movie in the DC Extended Universe.
