Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice set a dark tone for the DC Extended Universe, and it sounds like Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman movie will continue it when it hits theaters in June 2017. “It’s very interesting. It has moments of humor, but it’s pretty dark,” Gadot told Digital Spy.
Gal Gadot went on to explain that the Wonder Woman we see in her new movie will be much different than what fans saw in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
“We go back 100 years to when she’s more naïve,” Gadot said. “She’s this young idealist. She’s pure. Very different to the experienced, super-confident, grown-up woman you’ve seen.”
Wonder Woman’s release date just got moved up a few weeks, it hits theaters on June 2, 2017.
