Last night Geoff Johns was a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers to talk about DC Rebirth (Batman News review), but Meyers slipped in a Ben Affleck solo Batman movie question at the end of the interview. Johns once again confirmed that he’s helping Affleck with the movie, and went on to praise his script… particularly Affleck’s dialogue.
“He’s amazing, but he’s amazing at dialogue,” Johns revealed. “When he reads the dialogue I just sit there going ‘wow, I’m talking to Batman!'”. You can check out the full interview in the video above.
Affleck is a big fan of Johns as well. In a short promo video for DC Rebirth, Affleck called Johns a “f*cking genius”.
Affleck is no slouch when it comes to writing, he has an Oscar to his name for 1997’s Good Will Hunting, which he co-wrote with his longtime friend Matt Damon.
Now all we need is an official title and release date for this Batman movie. Hopefully that comes in July at San Diego Comic-Con. Stay tuned to Batman News for all the latest on this project!
