How Ben Affleck would write a Batman movie, according to Ben Affleck

An interview with Ben Affleck back in March at the Mexico City premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice flew under the radar, but it’s starting to make it’s way around the internet now. Affleck was asked if he were to do his own Batman movie, which storylines from the comics he would pull from. Here’s what he had to say:

“I would probably do in some ways what Zack [Snyder] did with [Batman v Superman], which is to borrow certain things from the great comic books, but create an original story around it. I wouldn’t want fans to already know the story and be familiar with it, but I would borrow — steal — great things that have been done before in the comics.”

Since that interview in March, DC Comics CCO Geoff Johns has confirmed that he’s helping Ben Affleck write his Batman movie. They are rumored to be working on the ultimate Batman story with lots of villain cameos, and if true, they seem like the right men for the job. You can check out the full interview in the video above.

Which comic book moments do you hope Ben Affleck “steals” for his Batman movie? Let me know in the comments below!
