Spike’s 10th Annual Guys Choice Awards were taped last Saturday, and they’re airing tonight. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon took home the prestigious “Guys of the Decade” award, and Affleck joked that his role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice had a little something to do with it. People was at the taping and provided the quote.
“I think it goes without saying that this is an award Matt and I have been dreaming about since we were little boys,” Affleck said in his speech. “I did Gigli and Matt did that Liberace movie and all of a sudden it all seemed out of reach. Then I did [Batman v Superman] and all of a sudden it was back in reach again.”
The two then went on to make fun of the award and their very famous friends who they beat out for it, including the former Batman, George Clooney.
“Now we’re the … coveted Dudes of the Decade … the Guys of the D*ckheads?” Affleck continued. “What is it?”
“No, the D*ckheads of the Decade award,” Damon replied.
