Amber Heard has a lot going on in her life right now. Last month she filed for divorce and obtained a domestic violence restraining order against her husband Johnny Depp. She claims that he hit her in the face with his iPhone, and provided pictures for proof.
Honestly, I haven’t been following the entire story, but there’s a lot more to it. From what I understand, Depp’s camp claims she’s lying and is trying to blackmail him, while Heard stands by her allegations.
So what’s this have to do with Justice League? According to TMZ, Heard, who is playing Mera, didn’t go to London this week for her costume fitting. Producers didn’t think she was “camera-ready” for the role, having lost a reported 20lbs due to all the stress that’s going on in her life right now.
This story gets trickier because Heard was supposed to be in court this week, but said she couldn’t make it because of the costume fitting (that she never went to).
This is a messy legal situation, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Heard’s personal life forces her to have to drop out of Justice League. Stay tuned to Batman News for more on this development.
