‘Batman: Return to Arkham’ delayed indefinitely

Batman won’t be returning to Arkham any time soon.

Batman: Return to Arkham, a remaster of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City for the Xbox One and PS4, has been delayed indefinitely. Warner Bros. announced the news on their official forums. Here’s the official statement on the matter:

After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience. We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.

The game was supposed to be out on July 26th, but now there’s no release date in sight. Last month, a fan put together a comparison video showing the differences between the old games and the new remastered versions for the Xbox One and PS4. Surprisingly, the old games looked a lot better in most of the comparisons. That could be a reason for this delay.
