‘Suicide Squad’ hits another box office milestone and beats ‘Man of Steel’

Suicide Squad hit another major box office milestone in its fifth weekend, crossing the $300 million mark domestically. David Ayer’s movie about bad guys held the number 2 spot for the second week in a row, coming up short to Don’t Breathe which was number 1 again.

Overseas Suicide Squad has made $375.5 million, bringing its grand total worldwide box office to around $675 million. That’s bigger than Man of Steel’s $668 million total, making Suicide Squad the second biggest DC Extended Universe movie, only behind Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s $872 million.

At this rate, Suicide Squad should definitely break the $700 million worldwide box office milestone in the next week or so, which is a huge accomplishment for a movie like this! Especially when you factor in all of the negative reviews.
