The Wall Street Journal published a great interview with DC Films co-heads Geoff Johns and Jon Berg today. They broke some Ben Affleck Batman movie casting news, and spoke a lot about their approach to Justice League and the DC Universe overall.
On the topic of pure Batman news however, there was some cool information in the WSJ’s piece about “Batfleck”. It’s no secret that Batman’s brutal and reckless portrayal in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was controversial, but his actions will be directly addressed in the follow-up movie!
“Justice League” will also directly address Batman’s extreme actions in the last movie, such as torturing criminals and nearly killing the man of steel, rather than accept them as par for the course. And it’s expected to have fewer of Mr. Snyder’s controversial flourishes, like the dream sequences in “Batman v Superman,” in favor of focusing more tightly on the plot, people close to the picture said.
Are you excited to see Batman’s violent actions get addressed in Justice League? Let me know in the comments below.
