Gal Gadot responds to Wonder Woman U.N. ambassador backlash; new movie image released

In October Wonder Woman was named an honorary U.N. ambassador, and in December after a number of protests and petitions, that title was taken awayTIME just published a big piece on the character of Wonder Woman, and they spoke to Gal Gadot about the controversy.

“There are so many horrible things that are going on in the world, and this is what you’re protesting, seriously?” Gadot asked.

The petition mentioned Wonder Woman’s “large breasts” and “impossible proportions”, and Gadot had a response for that too.

“When people argue that Wonder Woman should ‘cover up,’ I don’t quite get it,” Gadot said. “They say, ‘If she’s smart and strong, she can’t also be sexy.’ That’s not fair. Why can’t she be all of the above?”
