The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the seven finalists for this year’s makeup and hairstyling Oscar, and Suicide Squad made the cut!
Here’s its competition:
- Suicide Squad
- Deadpool
- The Dressmaker
- Florence Foster Jenkins
- Hail, Caesar!
- A Man Called Ove
- Star Trek Beyond
Variety reports that the Academy will watch 10-minute clips from each movie on January 7th, and then nominate three of the seven movies for finale Oscar consideration.
It may not be Best Picture, but it’s still an Oscar! Between The Joker, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, and El Diablo, I think Suicide Squad is definitely worthy of the hair and makeup nomination. Stay tuned for updates.
