Aquaman begins shooting on the Gold Coast in Australia early next year, and the stuntmen are already training so that they’re ready for whatever director James Wan throws their way.
“General stunt skills, fighting, if there is water sequences obviously being capable and competent in water,” stunt director Keir Beck told 9News about their preparation. He and his team also worked on Mad Max: Fury Road.
The video piece above shows the stuntmen practicing a scene from another movie, not Aquaman. Still, those skills should carry over seamlessly for the action in Aquaman as well. Screenwriter Will Beall has stated in an interview that some of the best stunts take place on land, out of the water.
