Ben Affleck responds to “Sad Affleck” meme and reflects on ‘Batman v Superman’

Ben Affleck was in the UK last week promoting his new movie Live By Night, and BBC Radio posted a great video interview with him today. They must have heard about his annoyance with questions about The Batman, so they focused on the one that started it all for him… Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

When asked what he learned from working on a huge blockbuster like Batman v Superman, Affleck joked “It taught me not to do interviews with Henry Cavill where I don’t say anything and they can lay Simon & Garfunkel tracks over it. That’s one thing I learned”. That was Affleck acknowledging that he’s aware of the viral “Sad Affleck” meme. There’s a clip of it in the video interview above.

Affleck then gave a more serious answer, saying that he learned about a lot of new movie technology that he hadn’t come across while making his other movies. He also said he got a replica Batsuit from the movie, which is on a mannequin in his house, as well as a Batarang! Check out the full video above for more.
