Yesterday we got some big breaking news that said Mel Gibson was in talks with Warner Bros. to direct Suicide Squad 2. At an event later last night, Gibson confirmed the reports.
Gibson was at a screening of his Oscar-nominated movie Hackshaw Ridge, and during a Q&A portion was asked about the Suicide Squad 2 news. “So is this getting close to a deal or is it a first date?,” the moderator asked. “It’s kind of a first date,” Gibson replied.
A fan named Collin Llewellyn posted video of the Suicide Squad talk, but unfortunately the audio is really low and it’s hard to make out what they’re saying. If you’d like, you can check it out below.
