Just one week after it was reported that Matt Reeves was in final negotiations to direct The Batman, the director has walked away.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Reeves has exited talks with Warner Bros., though does note that negotiations could start up again once things cool down on both sides. No word on what the two sides are disagreeing over at this time.
Though Reeves was the one who received an offer from Warner Bros., THR says that Ridley Scott and Fede Alvarez are also on their list of potential directors for The Batman.
