The Oscars are tomorrow night, and Suicide Squad is up for Best Makeup and Hairstyling. And while the movie may have been banned in China, the China Times posted an article about Suicide Squad’s Oscar nomination today that gives us a new look at Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn in a costume that never appeared in the movie!
As you can see in the photo above, we see Harley Quinn in what appears to be a wedding dress. Perhaps this was part of a scene that was cut after the “chemical wedding” that was in the movie, or maybe it was an alternative flashback from one of Enchantress’s hallucinations.
It’s also possible that this photo is from a costume test and that it was scrapped entirely, but with so much of Suicide Squad cut and reshot, you have to wonder how much more footage and behind-the-scenes photos like this are out there.
The 89th Annual Academy Awards air tomorrow night, Sunday February 26th, at 8:30pm ET on ABC.
