Gary Oldman is “intrigued” to see what J.K. Simmons does as Commissioner Gordon

Gary Oldman gave us an amazing portrayal as Commissioner Gordon in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy, but now it’s time to pass it on to another actor. That man is J.K. Simmons, who we’ll first see as Gordon in Justice League.

ComicBook.com caught up with Oldman at CinemaCon last week to get his thoughts on Simmons taking over his iconic role.

“J.K Simmons doesn’t need any advice from me,” Oldman said. “He’s a wonderful actor. I’m intrigued to see what he does with it. I’m looking forward to it. Gordon was very good to me so I wish him a lot of luck. I’m excited for him.”

You can check out Oldman’s comments in the video below.

We got to see J.K. Simmons in action in the new Justice League trailer, but that could be his only scene in the movie. He has described it as a very small role.
