We heard that Aquaman would begin filming in Australia in May, and they’ve wasted little time. Filming has officially begun!
Aquaman director James Wan just announced the news on Twitter with a photo of the clapperboard with “Day 1” written on it. We get to see the Aquaman logo and its working title Ahab as well. “Months of intensive prep has led to this. Here we go,” Wan wrote.

In the background we can see they’re shooting on what appears to be a submarine or boat right now. Aquaman is expected to shoot in Australia for the next six months. It will hit theaters on December 21, 2018.
