Batman.
Christmas.
Doggies.
Kite-Man.
What more could you ask for in a comic story?
You’ll find all of the above in Tom King and David Finch’s short story “Good Boy.” Originally published in last winter’s Batman Annual, the story has been nominated for a well-deserved Eisner Award. To celebrate, the short has been made available to read for free, so if you haven’t read it go ahead and do so. It’s a sweet, charming story about a boy and his dog, all through the filter of the Dark Knight.
