We took our first steps toward Metal with this week’s Dark Days: The Forge, and already DC has released some preview pages for the next chapter. With Dark Days: The Casting, it’s looking like Snyder, Tynion IV, Lee, Kubert, and Romita, Jr. are doubling-down in the insanity. I mean, how do you follow Batman punching a volcano? Have him fight a griffin, of course!
Check out the preview pages in the gallery below, which also has quite a bit of Hawks ‘Man and ‘Girl ‘Woman ‘Lady ‘Person. And… am I crazy or is that Dubbilex? Could be.
Really, though, is it Dubbilex? There are rumors Conner Kent Superboy will be returning soon, so could this be a precursor? Are we getting sweet leather jacket Superboy again? Ohhh, the possibilities.
But really: Batman fights a griffin. What else can I say?
