Way back in 2015 it was reported that Zack Snyder was in talks with HBO about a Watchmen TV series, with HBO confirming that talks were taking place. Now, nearly two years later, we have an update on that project.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Lost co-creator and writer Damon Lindelof is in talks with HBO on their Watchmen project. Lindelof has expressed in previous interviews that he’s a big fan of the Watchmen comics, as well as Zack Snyder’s 2009 movie.
THR also says that Zack Snyder is no longer a part of this HBO Watchmen project.
