The last of the Dark Knights of the Dark Multiverse has been revealed as we finally have a look at the solo outing for the Devastator. Sure, Devastator has made appearances in promo materials before, but Newsarama has a first look at Jason Fabok’s cover for the upcoming one-shot. Devastator here looks an awful lot like Doomsday, so I think it’s safe to say he’s the Superman analogue. These Dark Knights are manifestations of fear, so could it be inferred that Batman’s fears about Superman involve losing his friend again? Is that why Devastator looks so Doomful?
It’s too early to tell, of course, but we’ll find out soon enough. Written by Frank Tieri and illustrated by Tony S. Daniel, Batman: The Devastator will hit comic shops and digital platforms on November 1.
