Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins has stated in many interviews over the last couple of years that she was inspired by Superman director Richard Donner. Tonight, the two met at an event where Donner passed an actual baton to the Wonder Woman director.
“At DGA tonight. Reminds me of last time there. Greatest honor ever! Q&A by Richard Donner ❤️ who unwrapped and passed me a baton he’d made me,” Jenkins said on Twitter. “Truly one of the most incredible and touching moments I’ve ever experienced, from a man who changed my life when I was 7.”
