Ben Affleck comments on the internet calling him “Batfleck” (video)

Here’s something I bet you didn’t know. The term “Batfleck” was coined by Batman News reviewer Andrew Asberry. Seriously. If you search on Twitter you won’t find anyone who used the term before him. It’s certainly caught on, with many fans referring to Ben Affleck as “Batfleck” these days. So what does he think of it?

WSVN-TV’s Chris Van Vliet asked Affleck about “Batfleck”, and he didn’t seem too excited about it. Affleck compared it to the way people join celebrity couples names together, like “Bradgelina” for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. “I don’t spend too much time thinking about it one way or another,” Affleck said. Check out his reply in the video below.

I think “Batfleck” is a pretty cool nickname, but perhaps it brings back bad memories of Affleck’s own celebrity couple names. I’m pretty sure “Bennifer” was a thing when he dated Jennifer Lopez.
