Gillette flew me to LA for the ‘Justice League’ world premiere

On Monday, I had the pleasure of attending the Justice League world premiere in Los Angeles, thanks to Gillette! If you follow Batman News on Twitter you’ve seen a few updates, but now that I’m home I wanted to talk about my trip and share some more photos with you all.

I arrived to Los Angeles on Sunday, November 12th. It was my first time being on the West Coast and I was really excited for the Justice League premiere. On Monday morning, I met up with Gillette, Benny (Comicstorian), Eren (CabooseXBL), and Charlie Schneider (Emergency Awesome), and we went to The Art of Shaving for a professional shave to make sure we were all “red carpet ready”.

After that, it was back to the hotel to get ready for the Justice League premiere. Fun.com sent me their Justice League suit to wear to the premiere, and I liked it a lot. It was subtle. It had the logos on the tie and inside the jacket, but other than that it was just a nice grey suit.

Justice League Premiere

Then we were off to the Dolby Theatre for the Justice League premiere! I’ve been to the premieres for The Dark Knight Rises and Batman v Superman, but this was the first time I got to actually walk on the red carpet. That was so cool and my favorite part by far! We walked the carpet early, so the big stars like Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot weren’t there yet, but I did run into Karen Fukuhara (aka Katana in Suicide Squad). She was so nice, and we posed for a quick selfie.

As I made my way down the carpet I also got to take photos with the Justice League Batmobile and Bruce Wayne’s awesome looking Mercedes-Benz from the movie.

Inside the theater while I was waiting to get my tickets, I noticed that I was standing behind Rehan Jalali, Ben Affleck’s nutritionist. I introduced myself and we had a nice chat and posed for a photo. Jalali has worked with Affleck on many movies, including Justice League. I also met The Wrap reporter Umberto Gonzalez in line. He may play a tough guy on the internet, but he’s really nice in person and gave me some good website advice.

Then we made our way into the theater for the movie. I met Brandon Davis from ComicBook, and finally got to meet Sean Gerber and Mark Hughes from my other website, Superhero News. We had been working together for years, so it was great to finally meet those guys in person.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour

The next day, Gillette treated us to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. It was really cool to see all of the sets and back lots where they shoot all of these movies. We saw sets that were used in previous Batman movies, like Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin. We even passed Christopher Nolan’s office on the WB lot! My favorite part of the whole tour was getting to see the Batmobiles and costumes in person. They had a small museum filled with vehicles, and another building had a Batman v Superman and Wonder Woman display, full of the costumes and props.

All in all, I had an absolute blast in Los Angeles for the Justice League premiere. I can’t thank Gillette enough for the invite and for giving me one of the coolest opportunities ever. And stay tuned, because next week I’ll be posting a giveaway where you can win a bunch of awesome Gillette Justice League products, including some exclusive stuff that isn’t available in stores!
