Actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld has thrown her name into the mix for Joss Whedon’s upcoming Batgirl movie.
While promoting her new movie Pitch Perfect 3, Steinfeld was asked if she’d like to be in a big superhero movie. “Yes, absolutely. Definitely on my bucket list,” she replied.
When asked which superhero she’d like to play, Steinfeld wasn’t sure. But when MTV said that she’d make a great Batgirl, Steinfeld admitted that’s who she was thinking of. “Not going to lie… that’s what I was thinking but I didn’t know what to say. I’d love that.”
Joss Whedon was working on Batgirl earlier this year before being brought in to help with Justice League. It’s possible that he’ll finish his script at some point next year, and maybe we’ll start hearing some casting news.
