A few years ago Gal Gadot nearly quit acting, but in 2017 she was in bigger movies than any other actress.
Gadot was 2017’s highest grossing actress, according to Forbes. Gadot’s movies, Wonder Woman and Justice League, grossed more than $1.4 billion. She was #3 overall if you count all actors. Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took the #1 and #2 spots respectively, with the help of The Fate of the Furious and the other movies they appeared in.
Many fans confused highest grossing with highest paid. Gadot was the highest grossing actress, meaning the movies that she was in made more money than the movies that other actresses were in this year. Being in two superhero movies is hard to compete with!
In 2018, probably around the summer, Gadot will once again put on the Wonder Woman costume. Wonder Woman 2 will begin filming for a November 1, 2019 release.
