Suicide Squad 2 is rumored to begin filming later this fall, but it appears that the cast is already training together to get ready.
Joel Kinnaman, who plays Rick Flag, posted a photo on Twitter and Instagram today working out with Suicide Squad stars Jai Courtney and Jay Hernandez, along with a trainer. “Brendan whipping us back into shape. Jay puked,” he wrote.
Ike Barinholtz, who played the head guard at Belle Reve Penitentiary in Suicide Squad, saw the new photo on Instagram and just said “YES”. Possibly adding evidence that this gym session is Suicide Squad 2 related. Though, spoiler alert, Hernandez’s character El Diablo did die in Suicide Squad. At least we were lead to believe that he did.
Of course it’s also possible that Kinnaman, Courtney, and Hernandez all stayed friends and are just working out together, and this has nothing to do with Suicide Squad 2. Let me know what you think about this new workout photo in the comments below.
