In 2016, Batman v Superman passed The Dark Knight Rises and Avengers: Age of Ultron to become the biggest superhero movie of all time in terms of advanced ticket sales on Fandango. Now, that record has been broken.
Fandango announced today that Marvel’s Black Panther is now their top-selling superhero movie of all time. Previous estimates had the movie opening to $120 million when it hits theaters on February 16th, but with the new record for advanced ticket sales maybe Black Panther will open closer to Batman v Superman’s $166 million.
