Detective Comics #975 came out this week, and the Bat-family continued to work through the aftermath of Batwoman’s kill-shot on Clayface. Accusations flew across the table, and things didn’t end up all warm and rosy in the end. It will be interesting to see what’s coming in the future, and whether or not those golden days before Tim’s “death” can ever be reclaimed. My money’s on “no.”

New Age of DC Heroes standout The Silencer dropped its second issue on Wednesday, and it was almost as excellent as the first. Dan Abnett’s writing is as good as anything else I’ve read by him, and John Romita, Jr. shines with all of the new characters he has to play with. I can’t wait for the next one (and I just about said as much on the Comics Now Podcast, which you can listen to below).
There were a number of other Bat-related books released this week. What did you pick up? What did you like? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to read all of our reviews for this week’s books on the Comics page.
