In January we learned that Game Night directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were in talks to direct Flashpoint for Warner Bros. Last month while promoting their new movie, they stressed that negotiations were still ongoing and that they hadn’t officially signed on yet. As of today, however, it appears to be a done deal.
John Francis Daley took to Twitter this afternoon to say “It’s happening!” and included a GIF of The Flash running. Check out his tweet below.

Warner Bros. reportedly asked Ben Affleck to direct Flashpoint but he turned them down. With one movie left on his contract, an appearance by Affleck’s Batman seems likely. Assuming the movie follows the comic with the same name, a lot of Justice League characters will be showing up again.
